A projection I made for my wedding cake, with video game scenes recreated with sprites I made of my husband and myself, plus fun cameos from different games and shows we love.

I wanted to illustrate a version of Adventure Time’s opening featuring my husband and myself, and friends we know. This is the stand alone video that I added to the projection for the wedding cake.

Since I had been studying motion design, I had wanted to try my hand at making a projection map for my own wedding cake. I used a few styles, including hand drawn illustrations for the Adventure Time themed segment, and 8-bit sprites for the video game portion. All assets were created during grad school, while planning the wedding, which got a bit crazy.
